# Can I engrave a handwritten note or signature?

Yes. Handwritten engravings are Hampden's most popular personalization style, and one of the most meaningful.

Our precision engraving process captures even the smallest pen strokes and subtle variations in handwriting, so you can *recognize* the person behind the message.

## What you can engrave

- A full handwritten note or phrase
- A single signature or name
- A typed message combined with a handwritten signature, a popular anniversary-gift style

## How to send us the handwriting

1. Write your message or signature clearly on plain white paper.
2. Take a well-lit photo of it with your phone.
3. Email us along with your order number.
