The movement

Every Hampden is built around a Swiss movement, with hand-assembled components chosen for durability, accuracy, and longevity.

The Casecap system

The Casecap is our patented caseback system, and it is the piece of engineering the rest of the watch is designed around. A single twist swaps a sapphire exhibition caseback for a deeply engraved one, so the caseback can be personalized and changed later rather than being fixed at the factory. The Design Concierge

Design Concierge is a complimentary service that guides you through refining your idea, personalizing your watch, and getting your engraving right before anything is cut. The warranty

Modern Hampden watches purchased from 2025 forward carry a 5-year limited warranty, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use from the original purchase date. The family behind it

The Hampden name has been on American watches since 1877. Four generations of the Wein family have made watches in Chicago since 1922, when Hyman Wein founded the Clinton Watch Company, and in 1958 the family acquired the Hampden name.

That combination, modern engineering with personalization at the center rather than added on at the end, is what sets a Hampden apart.
